Your Green Party Candidate for North Devon District Council, Barnstaple
Pilton Ward
L'Anne Knight
If elected, I would fulfil the varied responsibilities as a Councillor
to the best of my ability and in the best interests of the community
of Pilton. However, the essential reason for my standing is Climate Change
and all the implications this will have for our fragile planet and for
future generations.
I grew up in Bradiford and know Pilton well. My husband
has taught at Pilton Community College for 25 years. Our children went
to Park School where I was an elected governor for seven years. I worked
in the Probation Service in Barnstaple for 21 years and before that in
Barnstaple Library.
The Green Party are fielding over 1,400 local candidates all across
England in this May's local elections. We currently have 93 councillors
at District level or above, and expect to gain many more seats this year.
