I’m thirty five and live in Barnstaple with my partner Neil and children, Alanna (nine) and Harry (three). I grew up in Bratton Fleming and have been living in Barnstaple since I was thirteen.
Having trained at North Devon College, I have part owned (with my mum) a hairdressing salon, “Charleys” in Joy Street for eleven years. In Nov 05, I opened North Devon's only natural and organic hair, beauty and holistic salon: “Naturally Charleys” in Tuly Street. I am a founder member of the Green Business Forum, providing networking and a voice for local businesses.
Climate Change, reducing energy consumption, renewable energy, waste (reduce-reuse-recycle) and being organic are the issues I feel most strongly about. Climate Change is a global problem but I believe that every single person can contribute in helping to reduce the daily damage we cause to our planet and make a difference.
