Your Green Party Candidate for North Devon District Council, Bickington
& Roundswell Ward
Linda Mack
I am a local North Devonian with two teenage children and we all
have a keen interest in ecology and promoting green ideas.
I support the preservation of local industry and markets, and keeping jobs and
people in the area, to encourage long term sustainibility, and to avoid multinational
monopoly of our economy. I would like to see more affordable housing and cheaper,
more reliable public transport.
It would also be nice to see more facilities for the elderly; as a care
worker, I see that they benefit greatly from getting out and about, and
having contact and activities with other people. I believe young people
are also largely ignored, and we could avoid a lot of trouble and have a stronger
community if there were more local activities for both the young and the old.
I think the Green Party is the party that looks to the future with real
ideas and plans.
The Green Party are fielding over 1,400 local candidates all across
England in this May's local elections. We currently have 93 councillors
at District level or above, and expect to gain many more seats this year.
