I live and work in South Molton and my children attend the local schools, Infant, Junior and Secondary!
In standing for the Green Party for South Molton, I am keen to ensure that the enviroment remains firmly on the agenda for all Council descisions and policies. I would do my utmost to encourage the town to adopt the vision for a more sustainable future for all of us. I want to see our local shops and markets go from strength to strength and to acvtively encourage local produce and smaller local traders and businesses.
One of my particular interests is to give our younger people a greater vioce to determine the future of South Molton, in the hope that they will stay in the area - and want to!. Affordable housing is essential for this. I would also like to encourage local grass-roots environmental groups to help move our Community towards a Healthier, Greener and Brighter Future.

The Green Party are fielding over 1,400 local candidates all across England in this May's local elections. We currently have 93 councillors at District level or above, and expect to gain many more seats this year.
